Abstract

Gender pay and female leadership have surfaces as contemporary topics within higher education institutions across the UK. This paper explores some of the external factors that have been a catalyst for raising awareness and how both institutions and individuals have a responsibility to encourage change. The impact of planned initiatives at a single institution are discussed and evaluated to share good practice and challenge weaknesses.
