Abstract
The study proposes financial plans incorporated with National Mission on Medicinal Plants (NMMP) Scheme for small-scale herbal industries. The study identifies the role of various parameters like raw material source, processing type and entrepreneur type that can affect the feasibility of the financial plan both for the economically weaker sections as well as private entrepreneur in rural areas. A case study on setting up semi-processing unit for Phyllanthus amarus in Khirvire Village, Ahmednagar District, and Maharashtra is used to demonstrate the importance and potential of financial plans support for any rural entrepreneur. This study could help policymakers in developing better policies for successful scheme implementation.
