Abstract

Environmental pollution due to heavy metals like mercury is of serious concern throughout the world. Due to anthropogenic activities, the concentration of mercury has increased in the environment. Though many methods are available for mercury removal, adsorption is considered as simple, economical and versatile method. In this paper the efficiency of mercury removal from aqueous solution using agricultural waste, polymers and nano material were reviewed.
