Efficient Method for Identifying Shortest Path in Duty Cycled Wireless Sensor Networks

Abstract

A Wireless Sensor Network contains a large amount of Sensor Nodes that are mainly data-centric. The sensor nodes operate on battery they cooperate among themselves and transfer data to the sink which processes the sensed information. The end user can access the information collected by these sensor nodes through the Internet. The proposed algorithm deals to find the optimistic path between the sensor nodes and also between the sink and the sensor nodes. The minimum spanning tree algorithm is used in finding the shortest path and a comparison is performed between the enhanced Kruskal’s and Prim’s algorithm.
